Penn Fusion 96 Girls captured the WAGS championship

10/11/2010 --The Penn Fusion 96 Girls captured the WAGS championship in the top Cup Flight. The team began bracket play with a strong 4-1 win over Ohio’s Tri-State Elite. This would be the last goal that keepers Kaelyn Johns and Hannah Ciolek, and the Penn Fusion defense, would concede for the rest of the tournament. The team finished at the top of their bracket and completed semi-final play with a decisive 2-0 victory over Palm Beach’s Magic Jack. The championship game, against current Region 1 champion Parkville SC Baltimore, ended with a 1-0 finish on a goal scored by Tyus Walker. In other tournament news, Penn Fusion 95 Girls also competed at the WAGS tournament and finished the weekend undefeated. Congratulations!
